Local-Global Results on Discrete Structures

Local-global arguments ask how much global structure can be recovered from local information. This dissertation studies Bakry-Emery curvature on graphs, local discrepancy inequalities, graph connectivity, strongly regular graphs, and a geometric facility-location problem motivated by UAV base-station placement.
